Update 5:15 PM: In flight five, match 1 between Sinton and Mirsky was
not sailed, match 1 in flight six was also not sailed because boat
breakage put one boat completely out of commission for the day with a
broken spar. The completed matches in flight five were: Monnin over
Evans, Corbett over Allam and Williams over Iehl. Update: Wednesday afternoon 2:30 PM Bermuda time:
Group 3 flight 4 is getting underway now, after they complete 4 flights, Group 1 will sail 3 flights to complete their Round Robins. Winds are very strong and forecast to be as much tomorrow. A VERY windy day on Hamilton Harbour this morning. Our old friend Jordy Walker is the owner of most of the IOD's used in the racing, it's going to be a rather painful day for him today as the damages to boats from the high winds and high action racing are doubtless going to be fairly extensive today. Check the results page for updates throughout the day. The forecast from the Bermuda Weather Service: As high pressure slips away from our area today, and winds will increase through today and tonight as a cold front moves off the US east coast, bringing showers and gale force gusts. This front passes on Thursday morning, with much cooler temperatures Friday and Saturday. Marine Synopsis: High pressure slips away east of Bermuda and a cold front pushes off the US East Coast through today, increasing winds strong with gusts to gale force in squally showers, and bringing the chance of an isolated thunderstorm. This front passes Thursday morning, but rough seas will remain through Friday.
